Job Summary

UK Philanthropy is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Associate Director of Gift Receiving. The Associate Director will lead daily gift/pledge processing, reconciliation, and analysis, manage and supervise gift/pledge processing staff, and provide back-up support for leadership functions performed by the Director of Gift Receiving. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining compliance with University and UK Philanthropy policies and procedures; monitoring the receipt, processing, acknowledgment and reporting of gifts and pledges; and serving as a resource for University, philanthropy and business office staff by responding to inquiries, providing consultation on gift or pledge concerns, advising, and providing standard reports upon request.

The Associate Director of Gift Receiving will contribute directly to the stewardship of annual and major gift donors by serving as the primary resource in UK Philanthropy for facilitating gifts of securities and mutual funds. Daily communication with gift officers, donors and donor financial representatives to provide instruction, consultation and manage the gift process in collaboration with University Financial Services. Maintain awareness of IRS guidelines relating to gifts/pledges and advise philanthropy gift officers, donors and university staff according to UK and UK Philanthropy policies and procedures.

The successful candidate must have strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be knowledgeable of IRS guidelines on charitable giving.
