Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, sitting at workstation for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 20lbs. Sitting in a vehicle, driving, or other travel may be required for this position.
Shift
Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours/week), occasional evenings and weekends for events.
Job Summary
The College of Communication and Information at the University of Kentucky seeks a highly driven and dynamic College Recruiter to execute a recruitment plan across all undergraduate programs in the College and to assist in coordination of graduate recruitment efforts. This position will be the initial point of contact for interested students and their families. Regular travel and meeting with stakeholders, prospective students and high school counselors will be critical in this role. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Student Success and the Office of Undergraduate Admission, coordinates College involvement in university events including, but not limited to, K-Week, Merit Weekends, parent weekend and major fairs. Additional duties include academic advising, collaborating with other college stakeholders to create recruitment and communications, working with unit heads on retention projects, and managing student data within UK systems.
