Job Description

This faculty position is in the Department of Biomedical Informatics, Biostatistics & Medical Epidemiology, within the School of Medicine and is open to applicants at all ranks on the tenure/tenure track or non-tenure track focused on biostatistics.

The department seeks highly motivated individuals with a passion for scientific discovery, improving healthcare, and informatics. Be part of a rapidly growing team developing informatics to further research and serving a dynamic community of researchers across the University of Missouri. Responsibilities will include developing informatics capabilities and conducting research. The position is expected to support 1-2 graduate students or a Post-Doctoral Fellow on start-up funds, bring existing NIH funding, and lead the biostatistics unit. Two-to-five year goal to develop funded methodological research program. One-to-Two year goal to develop biostatistical training courses

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: PhD

Candidates will be evaluated on:

-Existing NIH funding
-Expertise in large data analysis for GWAS or imaging
-Expertise in Bayesian methods
-Leadership experience to be able to lead biostats unit
-Experience in both commercial and NIH multicenter/multi-site clinical trials, pragmatic trials, with different methodologies and designs
-Activity with data safety and monitoring boards
-History of federal funding or major foundation funding, and population health research and/or implementation science expertise that aligns with our research focus and the SOM and -Precision Health priorities.
-Experience in DEI and patient engagement
