The College of Health Sciences (fka: School of Health Professions) – Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Missouri (MU) - Columbia is seeking applicants for a full-time, 9-month, assistant professor, tenure track position to pursue an aggressive research agenda and engage in teaching and program development activities. Specifically, applicants will be expected to pursue a clinical research program focused in an area of occupational therapy practice. Teaching responsibility for this position will include teaching courses in the occupational therapy curriculum relevant to the individual's area of clinical experience and/or research interest/expertise. This position will also include mentoring PhD students through the School of Health Professions' Rehabilitation Science PhD Program.

Qualifications

Licensed Occupational Therapist (licensure in Missouri is expected by the time the faculty appointment starts)
PhD or equivalent research training in a field relevant to occupational therapy
Prior experience with publication and grant writing

Candidates will be evaluated on:
  • Post-doctoral fellowship training
  • NIH grant writing experience
  • prior experience/training/expertise in functional cognition intervention methodologies
  • prior teaching experience.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience for the applicant.
