Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri-Columbia/MU Health Care is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to work with an adult population in an outpatient clinic setting. Openings for this position are at South Providence Medical Building or Fulton Family Medicine. This is a full-time position with options for flexibility in work hours. Salary Range: $50,367-$79, 354 Annually PLUS INCENTIVE.

Key responsibilities for the position:
• Provide assessment and psychotherapy to adults with a wide range of ages, diagnoses and presenting problems. Evidence based psychotherapy practices are preferred.
• Work collaboratively with clinic psychiatrists and child psychiatry fellows.
• If desired, teach classes to medical students and supervise residents in psychotherapy training
• Attend scheduled meetings and patient staffing.
• Document patient care, including assessments, treatment plans and therapy progress notes in a timely manner and accordance with department policy.
• Other job-related duties as needed

Shift

Monday through Friday 8a-5p

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Licensure as required for position.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in social work, mental health nursing, counseling education, psychology or related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired, is necessary. Working knowledge of various therapy models; Experience working with children and families. At least one year of clinical therapeutic experience in a medical setting is preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875 - $81,744 Annually (plus RVU-based incentive earnings)
Grade: GGS-9E
