Job Description

The NextGen Precision Health Initiative coordinator will support educational programming focused on precision health research for both the general public and research audiences. A team-oriented outlook, clear and concise communication style, and strong motivation to advance the impact of precision health research in Missouri will be critical to success in this position.

Duties are as follows:
• Utilizing established procedures, coordinate planning and logistics for NextGen educational events (monthly Discovery Series, science seminars), including working with internal and external speakers, academic home units, university groups, and NextGen communications team for administrative, scheduling, facilities, and publicity needs.
• With direction, coordinate planning and logistics for NextGen research trainee professional development programs (Discovery Fellows), including working between trainees, university stakeholders, and external groups for administrative, scheduling, facilities, and publicity needs.
• Support NextGen collaborative research activities (i.e. team science programming, proposal development activities, NextGen research development events) by coordinating between NextGen executive leadership, researchers, and academic home units for scheduling and facilities needs.
• In collaboration with NextGen Staff, manage event day on-site activities, including checking in attendees, and coordinating to meet catering and technology needs.
• Collect and synthesize metrics related to NextGen events and activities (i.e. attendance, demographics, supply use, catering) to contribute toward strategic planning for NextGen programs. Develop SOPs for programming and events.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range:$21.28 - $26.50/hr
