Job Description

To assist in the coordination of the simulation programs primarily involving high-fidelity simulators, task trainers and occasionally simulated participant encounters for internal and external clients in the Russell D. and Mary B. Shelden Clinical Simulation Center. This will include planning, scheduling, and delivering professional clinical training programs. This position will collaborate with faculty, staff, and learners to provide these trainings.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, schedule, and implement training programs that meet the needs of internal and external client groups.
  • Independently prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with clinical departments, construct teaching and evaluation scenarios utilizing simulated participants, human patient simulators and task trainers.
  • Setup, operate, clean and store simulation equipment for simulation experience.
  • Operate the computer software used to run simulation hardware, deliver audio cues, record simulation, and collect data for learning purposes.
  • Troubleshoot simulator issues and assist with repairs.
  • Input specific case, education, and schedule information into the simulation learning management system for recording and educational purposes.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of all education and training records, assuring compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Assist with BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP courses and checkoffs.
Shift

8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. May vary based on departmental needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing is required. Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Three (3) years of clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Instructor for BLS, PAL, or ACLS. Experience as a clinical educator or familiarity with adult learning concepts. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $75,275-$109,554
Grade: PAT-RN4
University Title: CLINICAL EDUCATOR NURSE
