Job Description

This part-time position will provide operational support to the Program Coordinator for the Triton Student Parent Success program. This program is funded by a Department of Education grant and provides childcare subsidies and other support services to Pell eligible UMSL student parents with the goal of increasing access and completion of post-secondary degrees.

In addition, this position will work directly with student parents to provide support, guidance, and assistance with the childcare application process, placement, and attendance tracking.

This position will be primarily in-person during the business week/hours but may require some weekend or evenings hours periodically.

Job duties:

Assist CCAMPIS eligible students with state childcare applications

Assist CCAMPIS eligible students with identifying eligible childcare centers for their child(ren)

Conduct program intakes with new CCAMPIS participants and impact surveys with CCAMPIS participants leaving the program

Assist with outreach efforts, including orientations and special events

Assist with file & survey management and other record maintenance

Assist with communication between childcare centers and Triton Student Parent Success

Review licensing records for determination of off-site center partnerships

Assist with site visits to childcare centers

Contribute to the overall success of the Triton Student Parent Success program by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Shift

Part-time; 20 hours will be scheduled during Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30.
Some weekend/evenings hours may periodically be required

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Current graduate student in social work or education, or bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired

This position is expected to be approximately 5% travel across the St. Louis County, City, and St. Charles areas. Use of a personal vehicle is required or access to reliable transportation to travel throughout the region with semi-regularity will be required. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay will consider education and experience.
Hiring Range: $17.96 - $20.00 Hourly
