Graphic Design Coordinator



The Office of Business, Hospitality and Auxiliary Services (BHAS) is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator (Graphic Design). BHAS supports all aspects of campus life, from housing to parking and everything in between! We manage all University-owned housing, Panther Central operations (our 24-7 customer care center), 20+ on-campus dining locations, four retail stores, Heinz Memorial Chapel, the University Club, conferences and events, sustainability initiatives, mobility and commuting options, and campus-wide logistics. The Marketing and Communications Team supports internal BHAS requests related to photography, videography, graphic design, web development, social media, and more! Duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to: creating visual and graphic design content, creation of marketing materials for the department including publications, ad banners, social media content, website design, etc., other duties, and special projects as assigned. Job Summary

Creates written editorial content across print and electronic mediums and manages web content. Institutes procedures for timely information gathering. Ensures consistent messaging and maintains University brand and style.


Essential Functions
  • Creates graphic editorial content across print and electronic mediums, including brochures, ads, articles, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • Creates web content.
  • Maintains brand and University style adherence across all platforms and content.
  • Meets regularly with various staff for newsworthy information. Communicates and works effectively with a wide range of people; develops and maintains beneficial relationships.
  • Collaborates with internal departments on print production.
  • Evaluates and implements methods and procedures for collecting timely and accurate information.
  • Creating visual and graphic design content.
  • Serve as backup for website development and photography as needed.
  • Researching and analyzing current communications efforts and recommending changes as necessary, researching best practices, and strategizing future initiatives.
  • Other special projects as assigned.
