Recruitment Coordinator



The University of Pittsburgh’s Recruitment Team is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to provide essential administrative support in our efforts to attract and enroll talented students. The Recruitment Coordinator will play a pivotal role in optimizing team operations, organizing events, managing communication, and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day administrative tasks within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Coordination

Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of recruitment events, such as college fairs and off-campus programs.

Coordinate logistical arrangements, including venue booking, catering, transportation, and materials ordering/preparation.

2. Administrative Support

Organize, maintain, and update digital files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

Manage and respond to incoming inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and accurate information to prospective students, families, and other stakeholders.

Schedule meetings and maintain calendars, including room reservations and making travel arrangements.

3. Communication and Outreach

Communicate with prospective students, applicants, and admitted students to provide guidance, answer inquiries, and facilitate the enrollment process.

4. Team Collaboration

Work closely with other members of the team, and across teams, to achieve enrollment goals and enhance the overall effectiveness of recruitment initiatives.

Attend team meetings, provide updates on administrative tasks, and contribute ideas for improving recruitment strategies and processes.


Successful candidates will have experience in administrative support roles or office management and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will be able to solve problems independently, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and maintain confidentiality at all times.

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position and a Bachelor's degree is Preferred.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the department.
