The Center for Advanced Systems Research and Education (CASRE) in the Industrial and Systems Engineering department invites applications for a full-time Industrial Liaison position. The Industrial Liaison is responsible for developing external partnerships with business, industry, and organizations to expand workforce development/training opportunities that meet the needs of internal and external partners. This includes the expansion of CASRE Memberships and other efforts assigned by the Director. This applies to one or more related or unrelated assigned areas of responsibility. This position is responsible for utilizing industry partners to validate research within an industry/production setting. Position will supervise the work of others as it relates to Industry Pillar and project management.

• Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of experience in program development, management, and/or related field.

• Preferred qualifications are a Master’s Degree and 2 years of experience in program development, management, and/or related field in a higher education environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively are also required. Based on these qualifications, the successful candidate will:

• Serve as an industry liaison with local, regional, and national organizations aligned with CASRE

•Responsible for developing and leading initiatives and programs

• Able to identify and analyze gaps in workforce development needs of external constituents at a local, regional, and national level.

• Responsible for identifying sources of funding and business partnership opportunities for CASRE.

• Facilitate the development of business proposals.

• Able to work independent and ask for and secure new business contracts.

• Responsible for project management of Industry related projects and knowledge of project management, methodologies, techniques.

• Manage teams and projects in Industry entities.

• Manage project deliverables and timelines.

• Work in conjunction with CASRE membership initiatives and provides over site in the execution of these initiatives.

• Able to secure funding for continuation of employment and to support CASRE mission.

• Other duties as assigned
