Job Summary

This team is developing data driven solutions for ophthalmology. To accomplish this, a suite of programs are needed for data on-boarding, modification and labeling to support downstream applications.

This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. Responsibilities

To support this team, the person selected for this role will be responsible for review, design, implementing and maintaining our team's databases. This includes both internally and externally derived datasets. Data structures must be developed to be organic to include additional data and potentially new categories. The appointed candidate will help identify data sources, construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams and document the process. They will also support the team through development of codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures.
  • Candidate should also be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • A bachelor's degree in data science, (bio/soft) engineering, STEM or a related area or equivalency.
  • Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
