The successful candidate is required to reside in New Jersey within one year of employment.

Duties:

Reports to the Executive Director of Student Special Services; leads the process of development, implementation and coordination of the occupational therapy program; screens, evaluates, and provides therapeutic intervention for students identified with or suspected of having disabilities which interfere with their ability to perform daily life activities or participate in necessary or desired occupations; provides transition and exit planning for students under his/her care; uses professional judgment and clinical knowledge to develop individualized programming based upon students’ occupational performance deficits; collaborates with other district services and departments; delivers independent review outcomes and modifies intervention programs as
necessary; uses clinical reasoning and professional judgment to ensure student safety with awareness of his/her own and school district liability; follows routine employee accountability measures when performing duties independently at various schools; related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

New Jersey School Occupational Therapist certification. Strong computer literacy.
