Position Description:

VCU Life Sciences is looking for qualified applicants to apply for the position of Adjunct Instructor: Natural Resource Management. Modern training in Environmental Studies requires the integration of physical, life, and social sciences. The Center for Environmental Studies at VCU is looking for an individual to provide instruction in some aspect of natural resource conservation and management. Classes will be targeting individuals who are either finishing their baccalaureate degree in Environmental Studies or beginning their graduate degree program.

Required Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

- Master's level degree in Environmental Studies, Geography, Ecology, Biology, Landscape Architecture, or other related field.

- Experience in managing natural resources in the private/public sector, or teaching resource management in academia.

- Ability to lead field data collection.

- Knowledge of Natural Resource Policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3+ years in Public Sector resource management and/or academia.

- Demonstrated excellence in teaching courses that integrate laboratory and field components.
