Position Primary Purpose and General Duties:

To perform as a member of the University Student Commons & Activities (USC&A) housekeeping staff, performing regular shift cleaning and supervision duties, specific projects and responsibilities as may be assigned at any of USC&A locations. To ensure each day that the assigned USC&A facility and surrounding outside areas are maintained in clean condition in compliance with USC&A Housekeeping Performance Standards and the highest industry standards through individual work and contributing efforts as part of the overall housekeeping team. To provide leadership, supervision, and direction to assigned housekeeping staff in order to ensure that the assigned USC&A facility and surrounding outside areas are maintained in clean condition in compliance with USC&A Housekeeping Performance Standards and the highest industry standards.

Minimum Hiring Standards:

Regular evening hours are from 3:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. and Summer hours are from 12:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Significant housekeeping experience. Knowledge of standard housekeeping procedures and skills in the use of floor machines, extractors, shampooers, carpet vacuum cleaners and other housekeeping equipment. Ability to work within established guidelines (independently and as part of a team). Ability to read, hear and follow spoken/written directions, instructions and schedules and fill out reports with written descriptions of work completion per shift. Ability, as a team leader, to plan and schedule work, solve problems, and communicate orally and in writing. Ability to lift and carry at least 75 pounds routinely. Ability to kneel, stoop, bend over, climb, and walk for extended periods as required to perform work assignments. Ability to work in a diverse environment.

Salary Range: $32,000-$51,700
