Billing Specialist
The Billing Specialist is responsible for accurately and timely information being reflected on students’ bills. This position works independently with billing information, transactions and invoices for students and is also responsible for sponsored billing. This position provides customer service regarding billing issues and handles all accounting responsibilities required for billing purposes. The Billing Specialist has access to a variety of information needed to produce an accurate accounting of billing information to both students and outside agencies. This position must possess knowledge of the accounts receivable function, to include the ability to handle a complex variety of transactions with accuracy and accountability. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing and the ability to maintain confidential information is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Billing Specialist will possess three to five years’ experience in accounts receivable, billing and banking, a bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
The Billing Specialist will possess strong accounting skills, with attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work with minimum supervision. The Billing Specialist needs to be dependable and can handle multiple priorities and multiple deadlines simultaneously.
